In general, the term hacking is the process of purloin the data in an unauthorized way. Hackers may alter the security features of the system to receive the data they needed. The hacking process is carried out by cracking the passwords and codes.
The term hacking came in 1971, by a Vietnam vet named John Draper. The person who cracked the way of making free phone calls termed as "Phreaking".
Languages the hackers need to be familiar with are all five of Python, C/C++, Java, Perl, and LISP. Will discuss about types of hacking and hackers as follows:
Types of Hacking
Website hacking – it is a kind of direct attack on the website where the visual appearance of the website/webpage will be changed. Usually spoilers break into the web-server and take the place of hosted website with one of their own.
Network hacking – it is a kind of technical effort helps to manipulate the normal behavior of network connections and connected systems. The hackers involve malicious programming attacks on networks. Network hacking is carried out by using the following tools: telnet; Air-crack (commonly used wireless tool); Wire-shark; and Kismet (helps to hack Wi-Fi connections).
Ethical hacking – it is a kind of legal hacking where the individual or the company users involves the process to find out the threat in computer/network. The hacker attempts to recheck the system security and search for any weak points that could be used by malicious hackers.
Email hacking – it is a kind of unauthorized access to an email account and email correspondence. Here the hackers has the ability to hack any of the information is sent through your account like passwords typed; account numbers; bank information. In addition to that they can also send viruses to other computer using your account and hack them too.
Password hacking – it is a method of recovering passwords from data transmitted or stored on a computer.
Online banking hacking – it is the method of accessing the bank accounts without knowing the passwords / permission of the account holder. The hackers use fake apps; app hijacking; Phishing; Key loggers; Man-in-the-Middle Attacks; and SIM Swapping.
Computer hacking – it is the method of modifying computer software and hardware to accomplish the goal of outside creator objective. In general gaining the access of the computer in unauthorized way.
Types of Hackers and Symbols
Ethical Hacker (White hat): A hacker who gains access to fix the weakness and view the confidential details of the company further identify the issues to avoid malicious hacking.
Cracker (Black hat): A hacker who gains access for his personal gain such as to steal corporate data; violating privacy rights; bank funds and transfers.
Grey hat: A hacker takes the responsibility of both the ethical and the cracker role. The hacker directly access weakness of the system and passes the information to the system user.
Script kiddies: A non-skilled person can hack the computer by following up the tools and procedures which is in practice.
Hacktivist: A hacker sends messages based on political; religious; and social issues. This kind of information is transferred by hijacking the websites and leaving the messages on that hijacked webpages.
Phreaker: A hacker can identify the information and trace the details by cracking phone calls instead of computer.
